Tiverton & Crediton Voluntary Car Schemes

The Tiverton Voluntary Car Scheme was set up in 1989. They exist to provide lifts in cars for frail elderly people and people with disabilities who find public transport extremely difficult, either because they cannot walk to the bus stop or easily climb on or off the bus.The scheme can be used for many appointments such as, Hospital, Doctors and Hairdresser appointments, Shopping or just general social visits.

Transport is provided by volunteers using their own cars. We endeavour to fulfil every request, however on the rare occassion we are unable to fulfil we will aim to give as much notice as possible.

Who can use the scheme?

Frail, elderly, rurally isolated or people with a disability who find public transport inaccessible or difficult to use.
